We commission evidence reviews of specific marketing claims in the health and beauty space. Strong proposals address a claim that is (a) actively used in consumer-facing marketing, (b) supported or refuted by a meaningful body of peer-reviewed literature, and (c) of genuine interest to a non-specialist reader.

We give priority to claims where the marketing and the evidence diverge significantly — that is where our editorial value lies.

Submission Guidelines

Proposals should be submitted by email to info@marketingorscience.com with the subject line "Article proposal." Your proposal should be no longer than 400 words and include:

  • The specific claim you propose to review
  • A brief summary of the existing evidence landscape (2–4 key studies)
  • Why this claim is timely or commercially significant
  • A short author bio or credentials relevant to the subject area

We do not accept pre-written articles on spec. Proposals only, please.

Review Process

All proposals are reviewed by the editorial team. We aim to respond within fifteen business days. If your proposal is accepted, an editor will contact you to discuss scope, deadline, and editorial guidelines before you begin writing.

Commissioned articles undergo peer review by at least one subject-matter expert before publication. We reserve the right to decline any proposal without detailed explanation.

Volume of submissions may affect response times. We read everything.
